Location: Hanover Bluff Lake is located in Jo Daviess County within the Hanover Bluff State Fish and Wildlife Area. Hanover Bluff State Fish and Wildlife Area is immediately north of the Apple River Bridge on Rt. 84 and West Blanding Road. Take this road 1.5 miles south of intersection of Blanding and Hanover Hills roads, turn left on Hanover Hill to parking area.
Description: Hanover Bluff Lake is a 15.5 surface acre impoundment with a maximum depth of 23 feet and an average depth of 8.2 feet.
Additional Lake Information: 2 pole and line fishing only.
Site Regulations:
Large or Smallmouth Bass: 1 fish daily limit; 14˝ minimum length limit
Bluegill or Redear Sunfish: 25 fish daily limit; no minimum length limit
Channel Catfish: 6 fish daily limit; no minimum length limit
