Fair | The bluegill population structure can only be described as fair. During the 2016 fall electrofishing survey no bluegill over 7 inches were collected.
Excellent | IDNR annually stocks 8-10” channel catfish into Nashville City Lake. These annual stockings have produced excellent angling opportunities for 1–5 pound channel catfish. Site Regulation: 6 fish daily creel limit.
Average | Crappie populations have the tendency to stunt and become overabundant in smaller lakes like Nashville City Lake. Anglers are encouraged to harvest all crappie caught regardless of size. Of the crappie collected in the 2016 fall survey, none were over nine-inches in length.
Very Good | The opportunity to catch bass over 18 inches is excellent in this lake. During the 2016 fall survey, 18% of the largemouth bass collected measured 18 inches or better. The largemouth bass daily harvest regulation changed on April 1, 2016. Site Regulation: 1 fish daily limit, 18" minimum length limit.
Poor | No redear sunfish have been collected at Nashville City Lake during IDNR surveys.
